Scholarships and Grants for Virginia College Students

Ferrum College offers several scholarships of interest. The Presidential Scholarship is for first year students with 3.4 GPA and a 1000 on your SAT. The Academic Achievement Scholarships are again for first year students but you GPA can be as low as 3.0. For the Ferrum College Tuition Grant you just need a 2.5 GPA, but for this one you need to be an out of state resident.

Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College pays the smart kids pretty good to go to school there. Students in the top 5% of their class and a 1400 SAT can get fifteen grand per year. If you are in the top 10% and have a 1350 SAT you can get $11, 500. Seventy five hundred is for students in the top 15% and with a 1250 SAT. If you are in one of these groups and still have financial needs the school will take care of you with other grants.
