If you are wondering what Alabama green schools are just take a look at Hilltop Montessori School. They built a Leadership in Energy And Environmental Design certified "green school". This program, LEED, is part of the US Green Building Council and certificate programs for all types of new construction. This award recognizes a long standing and continuing commitment to environmental education and sustainable building practices on the part of the school.
Green building truly does create a better learning environment where kids have a better chance of all they are capable of being. Some of the benefits of green construction include protecting existing surroundings, conserving energy use, reducing waist and recycling construction materials and an improved air and water quality.
