Are kids better off with a work at home mom, or at least a stay at home mom? Yes, I am convinced they
are.
Are moms better off staying at home and raising kids? Probably not, in time the little, lovable, carpet crawlers will drive you crazy.
I am not a work at home mom or a stay at home mom. I am not even a mom, but I do have a lot of experience in this area. I am one of those dads that has always felt a parent should be there with the children. A parent mind you, not just a mom. I have done more than my share of getting kids to club meetings and lessons, doing the night shift so mom could attend night school. It just takes a lot of cooperation and the good of the kids in mind at all times. No, not just the good of the kids, the good of the moms.
Being a mother is one of the toughest jobs in the world. Second I am sure to being a wife. There is way to much about you ladies that most guys just don't know about. Such as
In my experience dealing with stay at home moms the biggest need is that of validation. Us go to work guys get that, hey great job, every time we turn around. We get raises, we have careers, we have customers that think we are Gods gift to our craft. At least I would hope so. Where does a mom get her validation? A big dose of that needs to come from the husband. Friends, a good support group, help a lot also. For a mom to be able to say she is also helping with the household income would be big esteem booster.
Can a work at home mom, with an understanding and willing husband, have her personal needs met while still being at home for the kids? Yes, it is an attainable goal. I am a firm believer in the work at home mom concept. I have had the pleasure of being the support system for two such great moms. Mom number one loved to sew. And sew she did, did I mind taking charge of the kids in the evening so she could make deliveries and take measurements? Not really, I kind of liked being in charge, no mom bossing us kids around. My evenings were for the kids, bath and bed were my specialties.
Mom number two lives and breathes horses. Well, she has plenty, and she also has a wonderful relationship with our twelve year old daughter. The two of them raise quality Arabian horses for show and sales. It is an income producing labor of love.
Two of the biggest keys I have found for moms to be validated are praise and income. Let me share with you one of the ladies I know who has discovered both by building web sites while being at home and on call 24/7.
Meet Patricia, from www.kids-party-paradise.com. She is a mother of three. She has a great education and job background. She also had a strong need to be home with her kids. She spends about 15-20 hours a week on her site and is currently making about $800.00 a month. Keep in mind web sites take time to grow and income increases with time and effort. Patricia is off to a great start. She is also at home caring for her three children.
I can tell you this about owning a website or two. I have pretty well spelt my guts about everything I have learned in life. What do I get in return? I have made a ton of online friends, I make well over a grand every month for just enjoying my hobby, I get emails every day from people wanting my advice and expertise. Have I been validated? By all means, and I do this in my spare time. So could you. Click here to learn how.
