You don't have to read everything ever written about discipline tips to be a good parent. You should however, gain enough knowledge, to come up with a consistent plan that works. You could take tips from here and there and put them together into a method that works for you. That is what I did.
Without a consistent plan your children will end up being in charge. That is a situation I see all to often. Take charge, establish some rules, always be fair and consistent so you can enjoy being a parent.
