Magazines are an important part of our lives. I receive a monthly computer magazine and at least one Photo magazine a month. My wife enjoys at least two monthly horse magazines. We stay up to date on everything new and current in our own areas of interest. A magazine arriving in your mail box every few weeks with your child's name on it is a great way to make that child feel important. My kids have always anticipated the arrival of what ever Nana and Papa had picked for them the last time the school was doing a fundraiser. It's a big self-esteem builder for a youngster to see their name on something in the mail. My ten year old is currently receiving Ranger Rick. We both can't wait for the next addition. It is part of our reading and activity time and we both learn a lot. At our house the magazines have usually been supplied by grandparents helping out with the school promotions. How ever they arrive the value is well worth the price. As the kids get older a weekly news magazine is a must to have on the coffee table at all times. If you fill your house with books, newspapers and magazines the search for knowledge becomes a way of life.
